Books Every Designer Should Read

Posted by Terry on the topics of design, usability

As web designers, we get caught up in trying to keep up to date with web technologies like XHTML, CSS, PHP and CMS engines; and lets face it, we have to be up to date on all of this to succeed in today's web environment. Often, as a result in trying to keep up on the technology side of things, we tend to put off learning about new design and usability principles. It's okay, we all are guilty from time to time, but let us not make this a habit. Designing without a clear notion of what the design does to the user is like wiring a house without knowing the correct wattage. Festivities at the Flip

Posted by Matt on the topics of BitFlip, client relations

Clients and friends mingled and talked while visions of websites danced on desktops. The December 4th bitFlip holiday party was a success! Good 'ole Saint Nick delivered three new website launches to lift holiday spirits. Food, drinks and merriment were also provided as a token of our gratitude. The support and cooperation of our clients has helped make 2009 prosperous for the Flip. We hope to usher in another year of record-breaking success. Thank you to all who attended. For those that weren't able to make it, we proudly displayed your websites throughout the evening and promoted your business. We hope to see all of you at future festivities! Be sure to check out photos of the merriment below, as well as the festive touches to our website.
